Directions
When travelling to Silver Glades, you
will need to take a passenger or car ferry across the Solent. These leave from
Lymington, Southampton and Portsmouth. You will find connections on the Links Page
to the ferry
operators' websites.
Depending
on which ferry you take, the following directions should enable you to find
Silver Glades from the ferry ports on the Island:

By
Car
From Yarmouth
follow signs for
Newport. After approximately 2½ miles turn left into Hamstead Road.
From Cowes and
Fishbourne follow signs
for Newport, then Yarmouth.
After passing through Shalfleet, turn right into
Hamstead Road, just after the Horse and Groom Pub.
Silver Glades
can be found
approximately ½ a mile along Hamstead Road, which is an unadopted country
lane.
By
Public Transport
From West Cowes Red Jet Hi-speed
ferry: No. 1, 2 or 3B bus to
Newport, then change to No. 7 for Cranmore.
From Ryde
Catamaran/Hovertravel: No 7
bus.
From Yarmouth Ferry: No 7 bus.Additionally, there are taxi ranks at the
ferry terminals.
